Celebrate this moving debut

...gratefully, I slowed down enough to see

That I actually don’t like anyone who treats me like they don’t like me.

It’s not insulting that you don’t like dark skin,

Or that your non-black woman don’t respect your kin.

Everybody has a right to call beauty

Whatever we see it to be.

As for me,

When I look in the mirror- I like what & who I see.
